Authentication and certificate verification software for grading companies: AuthentiQ, implemented by Next Orbit

Authentication and certificate verification software has to do two things well: run the workflow that produces a trustworthy verdict, and let anyone check that verdict later without calling you. AuthentiQ, which Next Orbit offers, implements and supports, handles submissions with set-registry suggestions, a multi-stage grading workflow with bulk and priority queues, QR-coded labels with batch printing, certificate verification by number, QR code and app scan, population reports, autograph authentication, courier shipping and a collector mobile app.

Quick answer

What is certificate verification and who is it for?

Authentication and certificate verification software manages an item or document from submission to a verifiable certificate: intake and identification, examination by qualified staff in a controlled sequence, a recorded verdict, a tamper-evident label and a public verification page. AuthentiQ, which Next Orbit offers, implements and supports from Dubai, was built for collectibles grading companies and covers submissions with set-registry suggestions, a multi-stage grading workflow with bulk and priority queues, QR-coded labels and batch printing, three-way certificate verification by number, QR code and app scan, population reports, autograph authentication, courier shipping and a collector mobile app. Demos run on Next Orbit sample data, after which the system is configured for your grading scale, label design and verification rules, as SaaS or as a dedicated deployment where your compliance rules require it.

  • What verification requires. A certificate number and QR code that resolve to the full record, images of the item as graded, the grading history and a page that cannot be edited after issue.
  • What the system runs. Submissions, queues, grading stages, verdicts, labels, certificates, verification, population data, autograph authentication, shipping and a collector app, with roles and an audit trail throughout.
  • What we deliver. A demo on Next Orbit sample data, configuration of your grading scale, stages, label and certificate templates, migration of past records, integrations, training and ongoing support from Dubai.
  • Office. Next Orbit Technologies L.L.C, 509-23, Mai Tower, Al Nahda 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the whole UAE, the GCC and globally.
  • Built around your operation The architecture is agreed with you before any code, so the system fits how you already work.
  • Proven before you commit A prototype built around your workflow shows it working before the main investment.
  • Ready for the UAE Arabic and English, UAE compliance such as VAT and e-invoicing where it applies, UAE hosting where your rules require it, secure by design.

What we deliver

Certificate verification: what Next Orbit builds and runs for you

Pick a deliverable to see what it covers and the part of the stack behind it.

Deliverable 01

Submissions and set-registry intake

Collectors and dealers submit items online or at the counter, with set-registry suggestions that identify the card, coin or comic from a few details. Service levels, declared values, insurance and fees are captured at intake, and each item receives an internal reference that follows it through every stage.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • TypeScript
  • React

Deliverable 02

Grading workflow software with queues

Items move through a multi-stage grading workflow, from intake and imaging to examination, grade assignment, label printing, sealing and dispatch. Bulk and priority queues, role-based stages and a full audit trail mean two graders never work the same item unknowingly and every verdict is traceable to a person and a time.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Python / Django / FastAPI
  • TypeScript

Deliverable 03

QR-coded labels and batch printing

Label templates carry the grade, descriptors, certificate number and a QR code, printed in batches once a stage is complete. Label designs are configured for your slab or holder format, and reprints are controlled and logged so a label can never be issued without its record.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • TypeScript
  • React

Deliverable 04

QR certificate verification

Every certificate is verified three ways: by number on your website, by scanning the QR code on the label, and by scan inside the collector app. Each route shows the grade, images and record for that certificate, so a buyer at a show or an auction house checks authenticity in seconds.

From the stack

  • Next.js
  • Flutter
  • Node.js

Deliverable 05

Population reports and autograph authentication

Population reports show how many of each item have been graded at each level and are published live for collectors and dealers. Autograph authentication runs as its own workflow with exemplar comparison, witness records and its own certificate, and both feed the same verification pages.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Next.js
  • Python / Django / FastAPI
  • Power BI

Deliverable 06

Shipping, collector app and integrations

Courier shipping is booked from within the system with tracking shared to the customer, and a collector mobile app shows submissions, verdicts and verified certificates. Payments, accounting and marketplace listings connect through integrations, and e-tijariX can handle invoicing, VAT and stock where a dealer business sits alongside grading.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Flutter

How a typical certificate verification system fits together

Before a line of production code is written we draw the system: the people who use it, the services behind it and the systems it must talk to. This reference architecture from our custom software development practice is the starting point we adapt to your operation.

Questions, answered

Certificate verification in the UAE: questions we are asked

01 What does authentication and certificate verification software need to include?

A controlled workflow from intake to verdict, a record with images and descriptors for each item, a label or certificate carrying a unique number and QR code, a public verification page that resolves them to the record, and an audit trail. Population reports, shipping and a customer app make the service complete.

02 Is AuthentiQ collectibles grading software for cards and coins?

Yes. AuthentiQ was built for collectibles grading companies and handles trading cards, coins, comics, memorabilia and autographs, with set-registry suggestions at intake, grading descriptors per category, label designs per holder format and population reports per set. Other item types are configured as categories with their own descriptors.

03 How does QR certificate verification work for a buyer?

The buyer scans the QR code on the label with a phone camera or the collector app, or types the certificate number into your website. Each route opens the verification page for that certificate, showing the grade, images of the item as graded and the issue details, so a certificate cannot be reused on a different item.

04 Can we customise the grading workflow and scale?

Yes. Stages, queues, roles, grading scales, descriptors and label templates are configured during implementation on the grading workflow software, not hard-coded. Changes after go-live, such as a new category or a revised label, are made by your administrators or under support.

05 Who implements and supports AuthentiQ in the UAE?

Next Orbit offers, implements and supports AuthentiQ from its Dubai office for grading and authentication businesses in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, the wider UAE and the GCC. Demos run on Next Orbit sample data, then the system is configured for your business, as SaaS or as a dedicated deployment where compliance rules require it.

06 Is the system available in Arabic?

The product is delivered in English. An Arabic interface, labels and verification pages are available as a customisation service for businesses serving Arabic-speaking collectors, scoped during implementation. Item descriptions, customer correspondence and certificate notes can be stored in any language, and the collector app follows the same rule.

07 Can certificates be anchored on a blockchain?

Yes. For businesses that want verification to outlive any single database, a hash of each certificate can be anchored on a public or permissioned ledger as an extension to the system, so a buyer or auction house can confirm the record independently. Our blockchain development service scopes and builds this.
