Manufacturing ERP in the UAE: bill of materials, costed stock and finance, with production planning built to fit

Manufacturing ERP in the UAE has to serve two very different shops. One is the assembler or light manufacturer whose process is a bill of materials and a stock room; the other is the factory whose advantage is a production process no trading package models. Next Orbit offers, implements and supports e-tijariX for the first, with kits, bills of materials, costed multi-warehouse stock, purchasing and finance. For the second it builds production planning and shop floor capture as custom modules.

  • Bill of materials and kits
  • FIFO costed stock
  • Custom production planning
  • Shop floor data via IoT
  • Bill of materials software for assembly
  • Manufacturing inventory software in Dubai
  • Purchasing of raw materials
  • Production planning software in the UAE

Quick answer

What is manufacturing ERP and who is it for?

Manufacturing ERP in the UAE should hold the bill of materials, value raw material and finished goods at true cost, and plan what to make and buy. It should capture what the shop floor actually produced and post all of it to a ledger that produces the VAT return. e-tijariX, which Next Orbit implements and supports, covers kits and bundles with bills of materials, assembly and disassembly, and FIFO costed multi-warehouse stock with lots and serials. Purchasing with three-way match, finance, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, e-invoicing and payroll with WPS are in the same system. For production planning, work orders, routing and shop floor data capture, Next Orbit builds custom modules. Machine data arrives through OPC UA or MQTT, and everything connects to e-tijariX through its REST API.

  • The problem. A bill of materials in Excel, raw material counted by hand, finished goods valued by guess and production reported on paper a day late, so cost per unit is never known.
  • What good looks like. One bill of materials that drives purchasing, a work order that consumes materials and books finished goods at actual cost, and live production counts from the shop floor.
  • What we deliver. e-tijariX for stock, purchasing, finance, tax and payroll; custom production planning and shop floor modules where needed; IoT sensors and machine connectivity; migration, training and support.
  • Office. Next Orbit Technologies L.L.C, 509-23, Mai Tower, Al Nahda 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the whole UAE, the GCC and globally.
  • Built around your operation The architecture is agreed with you before any code, so the system fits how you already work.
  • Proven before you commit A prototype built around your workflow shows it working before the main investment.
  • Ready for the UAE Arabic and English, UAE compliance such as VAT and e-invoicing where it applies, UAE hosting where your rules require it, secure by design.

What we deliver

Manufacturing ERP: what Next Orbit builds and runs for you

Pick a deliverable to see what it covers and the part of the stack behind it.

Deliverable 01

Bill of materials software for assembly

Kits and bundles in e-tijariX carry a bill of materials with components and quantities. Assembly consumes the components at FIFO cost and books the finished kit at the resulting cost; disassembly reverses it. Variants by size, colour or specification, units of measure and a specification library keep the catalogue consistent.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Laravel / PHP
  • .NET

Deliverable 02

Manufacturing inventory software in Dubai

Raw materials, work in progress held as kits, and finished goods are stocked per warehouse and bin at FIFO cost, with FEFO for materials that expire. Lots carry a recall trace, finished units carry serial numbers, barcode counting works offline, and minimum and maximum rules raise purchase requests before a line stops.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • React
  • Flutter (mobile ERP apps)
  • PostgreSQL

Deliverable 03

Purchasing of raw materials

Purchase request, RFQ, purchase order, goods receipt, supplier invoice and payment, with approvals by amount or category. AI capture of supplier invoices runs a three-way match against the order and receipt, vendor scorecards track delivery, fill rate and quality returns, and supplier agreements are signed electronically.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Laravel / PHP
  • .NET

Deliverable 04

Production planning software in the UAE

Where planning drives the business, Next Orbit builds a custom module: work orders from sales orders or forecasts, routing and work centres, capacity by shift, material availability checks, scheduling and rescheduling, and release to the floor. It reads the bill of materials and stock from e-tijariX and books output back at actual cost.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Flutter (mobile ERP apps)
  • PostgreSQL
  • Power BI

Deliverable 05

Shop floor data capture

Operators record starts, stops, quantities, scrap and downtime reasons on a tablet at the work centre. Machine counters, sensors and PLCs feed the same screen through OPC UA, MQTT or LoRaWAN gateways built by our IoT team. Output and consumption post to work orders and stock in near real time.

From the stack

  • PostgreSQL
  • Node.js
  • Flutter (mobile ERP apps)
  • MySQL

Deliverable 06

Finance, tax and payroll for manufacturers

General ledger with cost centres by department, branch and project, cost of goods sold from actual consumption, and fixed assets with depreciation for plant and machinery. VAT 201 from live data including imports via customs declarations, a Corporate Tax pack, PINT AE e-invoicing and payroll with WPS, shift rotas and overtime for factory staff.

Questions, answered

Manufacturing ERP in the UAE: questions we are asked

01 Does e-tijariX work as a manufacturing ERP in the UAE?

For assemblers and light manufacturers, yes: kits with bills of materials, assembly and disassembly at FIFO cost, multi-warehouse stock, purchasing, finance, VAT, e-invoicing and payroll are in e-tijariX. It does not include production scheduling or shop floor terminals. Next Orbit builds those as custom modules connected through the REST API when a factory needs them.

02 When is a custom manufacturing ERP the better route?

When planning, routing, capacity, quality or machine integration decide your margin and no trading package models them. Also when the factory already runs a legacy system that must be replaced piece by piece. Next Orbit keeps the trading core of a manufacturing ERP in the UAE on e-tijariX and builds the production modules as custom software. That fits better than bending a package to a process it was not designed for.

03 Can production planning software in the UAE use our sales forecast?

Yes. The custom planning module takes demand from confirmed sales orders, the online store and the AI demand forecast in e-tijariX. It nets demand against finished goods and work in progress, explodes the bill of materials to raw material requirements and raises purchase requests through the standard purchasing approvals.

04 How does shop floor data capture connect to the ERP?

Operators use a tablet at each work centre to record quantities, scrap and downtime. Machine counters, sensors and PLCs feed the same work order through OPC UA, MQTT or LoRaWAN gateways. Output posts finished goods to stock, consumption relieves raw materials, and dashboards show cost per unit and line performance.

05 Is bill of materials software available in Arabic?

Yes. e-tijariX works in Arabic and English, with bilingual product and component names and right-to-left screens. Documents such as stock transfers and goods received notes print in either language. Custom production modules built by Next Orbit are bilingual by default, so operators and planners can each use their own language.

06 How is cost per unit calculated in the system?

Components are consumed at FIFO cost when a kit is assembled or a work order is completed. The finished unit therefore carries the actual material cost. In the custom production module, labour and overhead rates per work centre are added from recorded time. Variances against the standard are reported per order and per line.

07 Do you serve manufacturers in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi industrial areas?

Yes. Next Orbit works from one office in Dubai. It serves factories in Sharjah Industrial Area and Al Sajaa, the Abu Dhabi industrial zones, Jebel Ali, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. Site visits, installation of shop floor devices and training are done at your plant. See ERP for trading companies for the trading core.
